[Once I had an uterus – a graphic memoir in progress]
Summer 2023. I had a hysterectomy, a surgery to remove the uterus.

This series of illustrations depict the surgery recovery and the journey which lasted about one year to get to the surgery. I would like to share my personal story to raise awareness of uterine fibroids that so many women are affected by but we know too little about.
